What is your favorite Romantic-Period piano piece? Mine personally has to be either Hungarian Rhapsody no 2 or Chopin Ballade no 2. What about you???

It changes nearly every day, but at the moment it is Brahms Intermezzo in A major.
Music is the greatest subsitute for words. In a life where we cannot succeed at work and we fail with women there is music which can tell anyone our words, words in which we want to scream but cannot!

Most of Chopin, some of Rachmaninoff,a few of Liszt, Scriabin and Schumann. Sorry, I couldn't be more specific. I just can't chose only one or five pieces. Maybe the top 20 or 30.
Bach-Prelude and Fugue 2
Mozart-Sonata 545
Schubert-Klavierstucke D946 - 1, 2
Chopin-Etude 10/9, 25/12
Liszt-Un Sospiro
Rachmaninoff-Prelude 23/5, 3/2

I couldn't agree with you more! I personally like Chopin and Debussy the most as well as a few other composers.

How am I supposed to do that?  :o
There are thousands of romantic piano pieces!!!

Well,... it's something by Schubert, Chopin, Liszt, Scriabin, Rachmaninoff, etc.

I just can't chose only one or five pieces. Maybe the top 20 or 30.

I must agree with this.
Maybe I could list 20 or 30 or even 40 pieces...

Gosh that's a tough question. It would probably be a Chopin. Maybe the the Raindrop prelude.

I certainly agree with that one, and it is a VERY hard question indeed. Thanks to all who have replied. I find Rach's scond piano concerto mezmerizing and I also love anything by Chopin and Liszt.
