Music Development ARCT Program
on: June 07, 2013, 02:23:25 AM
I am working on my program for an Associate Diploma in Piano Performance (ARCT) with the Royal Conservatory's Music Development Program.
https://www.musicdevelopmentprogram.org/
Here's what I have so far:
Bach: Prelude and Fugue No.5 in D Major, WTC II
Beethoven: Sonata in E Major, Op. 109
Brahms: Rhapsody in B minor, Op. 79, No. 1
Debussy: “Toccata” from
Pour le Piano
Liszt: Transcendental Etude No. 10 (
Harmonies du soir
)
I just need a 20th/21st century work. I would like to learn some of the Barber
Excursions
. However, going by the repertoire requirements, I can only choose two of them. Problem is, I love them all (though the third movement is the most beautiful, IMO). Which two to do you think would complement this program (they would be played between the Debussy and Liszt).
