Well I thought I started with number 1 but according to the markings in my book of Chopin Etudes it would have been Op10 no.2. The first weeks study was the first four lines and the second weeks study was to the top of the second page up to the octave change indication.

This book is like owning gold to me, it's from my past and brings back a lot of great memories.
Depressing the pedal on an out of tune acoustic piano and playing does not result in tonal color control or add interest, it's called obnoxious.

Started with Op.10 No.5 and Op.25 no.1... stopped op.25 no.1 three times because "the notes were too small"!

Then went on to Op.10 No.2 (LH seemed simple and sounded nice on its own + "How difficult can a chromatic scale be?")    ::)    But i was wrong - still can't play it :D

I hammered the Revolutionary Étude early in life. Then I played La Tristesse, followed by the Ocean Étude.  Don't have the appetite to learn anymore at the moment.
Beethoven - Sonata in C sharp minor, Op 27 No 12
Chopin - Fantasie Impromptu, Nocturn in C sharp minor, Op post
Brahms - Op 118, Nos 2 & 3
