Camargo Guarnieri Preludes (Ponteios) and repertoire
on: June 12, 2013, 07:28:14 PM
I was thinking of playing some of these for my recital, and I am currently learning nos.30 and 49 (I suppose that these 2 are probably the more famous ones). Anyone here can suggest any 2 or 3 more so I could play them as a set?
I am also looking for something impressionistic (read about castelnuovo-tedesco here somewhere but unfamiliar with his pieces and their difficulty) because my current program already includes the Bach Italian Concerto and the Schumann Kinderszenen.
I might just play the Griffes Tone Poems because I've played some of his other works already
Am thinking of the York Bowen Toccata - it seems an effective piece but how hard is it?
I'm also considering including something 'Asian'... any recommendations?
Finally, a sonata, but this will cause me to be over the timing, however, something obscure (not too hard) would be nice (to replace the Bach or/and Schumann)
