Sonata in f minor
on: June 14, 2013, 06:54:58 PM
I am working on Sonata in f minor Op. 2 No. 1 4th movement, and I was wondering if someone could explain how to play the trills and turns (which note to start on: upper or main note). Thanks in advance!!

Hi Searcher - Which composer are you referring to?

Beethoven Sonata?
Perfection itself is imperfection.

I am terribly sorry for not including the composer. Yes, the Beethoven Sonata.

i'm working on the same piece!! do you mean the trill in the exposition or the development?

If it's the one in the exposition, you start on the E-flat and f, E-flat, D, E-flat and A-flat.

If it's the one in the development, you just do the note above the original note.

Hope it helped :)
