Your favorite sonata and Gershwin piece?
on: June 15, 2013, 10:44:52 AM
Hi guys, I need to pick a sonata and im asking for your opinions, it has to be around 4-6 minutes because my category in competitions this year is probably going to be max. 15 minutes and i have other pieces to play as well, so if anyone thinks of something please reply, i appreciate your help, thanks. And about the Gershwin, is he allowed on competitions? If he is, please tell me some of his best piano pieces ( max. 6 minutes again )
Find the music in yourself and let it grow :)

Mozart::K280; K 330-333; K 545; K last sonata
Beethoven- Op.27 no.1-2
Chopin- Sonata in c minor

Gershwin: His own transcription of Rhapsody in Blue(counts as an original beause it is arranged by himself); 3 Preludes: Jazz Lullaby, Spanish Prelude...; etc.
