Practice rooms in Cambridge, UK
on: June 25, 2013, 07:38:46 PM
Hello everyone,
So I am in Cambridge (UK) for a couple of months. I do not own a piano, but would like to find a place to practice somewhere in my spare time. Is anybody familiar with Cambridge?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
many colleges in Cambridge have music practice rooms with pianos in them. Usually they
can only be used by students of the university, but students are allowed to bring guests into
the colleges. So if you know (or get to know
) a student there and ask, he/she can get the
key and take you into the college. Of course, that means that they will stay by your side, so
you can't really practice alone.
Same thing for Oxford. Sometimes they have really nice instruments (St. Hilda's college in
Oxford has a Steinway D, Queen's college in Oxford has a really nice harpsichord..)
Don't know about Cambridge though.
