Music Studies
on: July 18, 2013, 12:02:26 PM
Hello...
Recently, after many long talks with myself and others I realised that I want to study music (piano specifically) seriously at a university level. What were your experiences on this matter? Where did you study? How did you find it? Was it a big difference in comparison with your local music school? I am really perplexed on where to study and with whome.
I am greek-canadian with both nationalities living in greece at the moment. This september I will go to 12th grade(i.e.seventeen years old). I've been studying piano since 10 but with a good teacher for the last 1 year and two months.  Essentially from then I started understanding (only vaguely ofc) what it means to seriously work on music.
At the next lesson I will talk with my professor to see his opinion on the matter.  Up to now I had the plan to enter a university in greece for computer science and continue  studying music on the meantime. But know I realized that that wouldn't be viable. I want to study music irrevantly of how it might be later on in finding work.
     Help needed and appreciated...
