Hey does anyone have a list for the pieces from the AMEB lmusa syllabus.
I'm trying to decide whether or not i should get a teacher and complete my lmusa, after a couple years on my own.

indeed.

you can however check out the ABRSM one online at their site. You can do their exam here in aus too I believe. The LRSM is an equivalent qualification.

are you allowed to do LRSM without having done any of the previous exams?

I am fairly sure you can if you have fulfilled the equivalent ameb exams. Check the prerequisites section in the syllabus

I'd probably just grab a copy of the ameb syllabus though. Or if your planning on getting a teacher to help just look at theirs..

in either case there's a theory prerequisite you're going to need to sort out as well or they wont officially award you a full lmus.

These are a list of pieces I've taught myself at leisure. I'm wondering if ANY are on the Lmus list.
Chopin etudes: op.10 no.1, op.10 no.5, op.10 no.12
Chopin ballade no.1
scriabin etude: op.8 no.12
scriabin sonata no.5
liszt sonata in b minor
rachmaninoff prelude op.32 no.10, rachmaninoff etude op.39 no.5

a quick scan and I can see that the scriabin, liszt and the rach etude are not there. The rest are fine, but you will obviously need some more variation.

Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
