Teaching commitment and motivation!
on: August 16, 2013, 02:40:41 PM
Hi all,
I am writing a magazine article on commitment and motivation and am really interested in speaking with piano teachers. There are many things competing for our time in modern life and, perhaps consequently, despite opportunities that we all encounter to learn or master a skill or language or instrument many of us never focus our energies and commit to excelling at one thing or in one particular area.
I would really appreciate the opportunity to hear your professional thoughts and experiences with this.
*What qualities or attributes does it take to really progress when learning to play the piano?
*Do you feel it is a teachers responsibility to really work on the enthusiasm and motivation of your students for the piano?
*What advice would you give, from your experiences, about how we can all work on improving our commitment and dedication to other things in our lives?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas! I look forward to hearing what you have to say.
