I'm quite fond of it. I've never played it in public but have done a little work on it. I would agree, though, that Bowen wrote better music. His 24 preludes are really masterly - the Toccata is, by comparison, light entertainment. Huge fun to play, though.
Instrumentalists are all wannabe singers. Discuss.
