Not an Alessandro Scarlatti Toccata to be found...
on: September 09, 2013, 07:28:00 PM
Hello all,

I'm in the process of picking rep for the final recital of my undergrad in piano performance (!!!) and my prof suggested an Alessandro Scarlatti Toccata. It's in a minor and consists of an Arpeggio, Allegro, and Fugue. It's #11 and in the 2nd volume of A. Scarlatti's Keyboard works, in my edition anyway. I have the score, but for the life of me I can't find a recording - I've tried all over the internet, and even my university's library doesn't have it. Can anyone help me out?

As a side note, any suggestions for my recital would be welcome! :) So far I have a Schubert Sonata.

This is probably the one you're looking for:

I haven't found any recordings either, but I had to rewrite the score, so here's an MP3 from Sibelius software :) (skip to 0:19, arpeggio part is written as basso continuo)
