Please help w/ Mozart and Bach, audition coming soon!
on: September 16, 2013, 09:15:51 PM
Hi everyone!
I'm new here and I registered for the sole purpose of helping my friend. He'll have an admissional test in mid October which consists of:
1. A movement in a fast tempo (
allegro
or faster, I guess) from a Sonata by Haydn, or Mozart, or Beethoven (he can choose, but I think Mozart is the best option, as people say his sonatas are relatively easy)
2. A prelude and a fugue from J. S. Bach's
Well-Tempered Clavier
, Book I or II
3. A piece of free choice
Up today he has only studied the theoretical part, and as you can see, he's got a very short time to learn how to play this 3 pieces. And he's far from being a virtuoso...
The panel of examiners shall appreciate his aptitude, technique, historical and theoretical understanding and style, while he plays the piano.
Any suggestion of easy pieces is welcome!
Please, can you help me and my friend?
(Pardon if I've made any mistakes, English isn't my 1st language)
