Hey thanks for the comments guys,

Awesom_o, I do also do classical stuff, here is a Liszt Etude I did if you're interested:

theholygideons, that's understandable, it actually has more dissonance than most of the pop stuff I do, but yea it's nothing compared to some Chopin or Liszt

Thank you for posting the Liszt. It was very......revealing.

On the whole, I would have to say that the video editing which you used is a fair bit fancier than the technique with which you delivered the etude.... but that's just my opinion.

You might get a few less frank opinions from some other members, though.

I would say you definitely have a good feel for Liszt's style.... but your technique could use a bit of development.

Yea, the piece is probably a little bit out of my league, but I wanted to push myself.  Is there any specific parts you think need more work than others (like the octaves or the fast runs)?  I appreciate the critique, that's the only way I'll get better :)

Sorry I was so.... mean.

I didn't think specific sections needed more work than others, or at least that wasn't my main thought.... obviously, all sections of a piece are never equal and we could always work on the harder sections more than we've had time....

I think your playing would benefit enormously from developing your use of the hand itself. You have good musical ideas, but a more powerful hand structure would enable you to convey your ideas much better.

You might get a sense of what aspects of your touch need work if you play the Liszt through in tempo without any pedal at all.
