2014, RIP my wallet
on: October 27, 2013, 08:57:15 PM
*sees new concert program in Facebook for local theatre*
*first listings are operas and ballets*
*arrives at the New Concerts section*
*sees Mitsuko Uchida*
*sees Lang Lang, with Chopin's four ballades in his program* both
and
(it's Lang Lang, you know)
*sees Martha Argerich is coming back for the first time in 7 years*
*sees she will play with Daniel Barenboim twice, one as piano duet and one with orchestra*
*sees Barenboim will also play with Les Luthiers, a Monty Python-esque comedy group*
*sees Steve Reich will perform Music for 18 musicians*
My wallet will be sorely missed.

Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, Graduation Ball, Rodin, Romeo and Juliet, and The Nutcracker. I thought of going to some of these too, but that would be too much.

Hmm, the ballet is more interesting than the piano recitals.

RIP to our wallets. At least, yours will be well-spent. Mine got stolen last Thursday. I fell asleep on the bus and when I woke up, it was taken already.
