Imperial Bosenorfer vs. Steinway D
on: October 28, 2013, 05:09:58 AM
Hi everyone! I am deciding between two concert grand pianos to buy: an imperial Bosendorfer and a Steinway D. I have tried them both, and love them both equally. Which one should I buy?

They're both very different pianos,, it's really a matter of taste.  It doesn't matter what anyone here tells you,, there's no wrong decision, they're both top-notch pianos. (assuming price isn't a factor) pick the piano that you feel a stronger and more prominent connection with.

All things equal I'd buy the Imperial, but you could toss a coin, play both (and some others) until the winner emerges, follow your intuition or think long and hard about which is better for you.

Thanks for the replies. I have decided to go with the Bosendorfer after much thought. :)

Not really. I just saved up all of the money I've ever earned and sold a few lesser grand pianos (my family is very musical) I inherited. Plus, both pianos are used and under 60k (I was really lucky to find them:D)
