Schubert Klavierstücke D946 no.1. (next try)
on: November 09, 2013, 11:55:12 AM
Hi,
A time ago I've posted the very same piece but different recording, here. I got a few kind words and some advices. I've been working on this piece about 4 months and finally-this week on 14th thursday I'm playing it on concert (I'll play there Czerny etude Op.740 no.12 too). I really need some more advices primarly about interpretation but also some technical advices.

Bach-Prelude and Fugue 2
Mozart-Sonata 545
Schubert-Klavierstucke D946 - 1, 2
Chopin-Etude 10/9, 25/12
Liszt-Un Sospiro
Rachmaninoff-Prelude 23/5, 3/2

Bravo!

I think you've done some good work on polishing this up since the last version.
Many things were beautifully rendered, and your focus remained admirable throughout. The performance was wonderfully accurate.

My own 'suggestion' would be would be to develop slightly the feeling which you wish to convey each time we hear the main theme come back.

I don't wish to suggest that each time you played it exactly the same. Your playing contains more nuance than that. But you could perhaps show the musical significance of the context a little more deeply.

It's hard to tell much of much though, my laptop speakers+your video camera=less good than your playing ;)

Thank you very much for the suggestion about the changing the feelings of the main theme. On the big piano I use the left pedal for different colour, but of course I'll try to do better even without it.
