Choices for Open piano class at a uk festival?
on: November 28, 2013, 03:13:45 PM
Hello, I was wondering if any of you have taken parts in music festival competitions?
I am taking part in a few this year but cant have same program ( well I don't think that would be ok) so..
May I ask if this would be an acceptable 15 min open class competition list?
J.S.Bach Prelude and Fugue N23 B major MWV 868 2.30 min
Glinka/Balakirev The Lark 5.24 min or Brahms Intermezzo op 118.N2 5.50 min
P.Barisons Preludija 2.20 min
Rachmaninoff Fantasie pieces op3 N4 Polichinelle 3.31 or Rachmaninoff Prelude Op23 N5 3.35 min
Also it is probably to long for 15 min and I should drop something, Shall I drop Bach? Or is the choice maybe to weak?
Maybe 2 pieces:
Liszt Transcendental Etude N9 - Ricordanza and then one other from previous?
I know I have nothing classical included but there is a Classical class with Sonata movement at the same competition where I am playing 3rd movement of the Moonlight Sonata
So many questions Sorry about that.
