Dark Wind, good job with the compositions!

I've managed to hear a few while making a new account with Gamingforce forums.

I really like the Lyupanovia, toccata, and cascades, finding probably the best strength is in the first one mentioned.  I kind of reminds me of Chopin's Prelude 16, but has more musical content than just pure speed.  Good job.

I've only composed 1 sonata so far using Finale, but I'm figuring how to upload it, cause I suck at using the internet.

Maybe sometime I'll upload a .wav of some of my music, so that everyone who doesn't have Finale can hear how wonderful human playback is.

It does annoy me sometimes though...

I have Finale 2005, and dislike it highly. I don't find it comfortable to use compared to good ol' Sibelius. Besides, with Sibelius, I can upload my music to sibeliusmusic.com, which has a nice community as well.

I'm using the freebie notepad 2003, it sucks but it works.

I don't know if I want to shell out however much it is, because I'm not totally impressed with notepad, even though it IS supposed to have less features obviously than something you pay a premium for.

Does the playback still have that "midi" sound for the upgraded versions?  Well if so, then I'll be very hesitant to buy it.

Not at all. Sounds very much like the real instruments. VERY realistic, in my opinion. Some time soon I'll put up a .wav of one of my compositions.

I mean, really, what other software has string instruments that actually play out of tune! It's amazing!

Try listening to the sample on the Finale website. It shows the difference between the regular midi and human playback.

yeah darkwind your compositions are the best! my god if i could compose like that when i was 14, better yet if i could composer like that now at almost 19 i'd be a very happy person!
