Room for improvement?

Ive been playing for 5 years now and I can say with total confidence that Im quite a bit better than what I was one year ago. On top of that I can see myself being better than what I am in one year from now.
 What Im wondering is if top class, internationally recognized pianists have the same thoughts?, I mean is Kissin better than he was 2 years ago?
 Is there a plateau of someones ability at music?
