My teacher told me to decide which of these I should play for a up coming audition.
Sonata
Op.49 No 1
Op.49 No 2
Op.79
Op.2 No 1
Which one of these will guys think I would enjoy myself most playing with? Hardest? Most enjoyable to listeners?
I recommend you to give a try to Op. 49/2. It's considered the easiest sonata from all Beethoven's 32. The "Allegro ma non troppo" is very plausible and will give you a sample of some technic. The 2nd movement, "Tempo di Menuetto" is gorgeous and serves as an example of musicality in dolce passages (sorry if I wasn't clear, my English is very bad, I speak Portuguese).
Op. 49/1 and Op. 79 are little harder than Op.49/2, but, nevertheless, good second choices. The 2nd movement from Op.49/1 is a bit tricky, as well as the 3rd from Op.79 (imo): those ones are probably the greatest difficulties you will find.
Op.2/1 is a more challenging sonata. You absolutely may give it a try and see by yourself what you think.

The 4th movement, which appears to be very difficult, actually is quite playable, but imo it's the trickiest of Op.2/1. I think there is some technical and musical dificulties in all movements, although. But nothing you can't deal with, after some practicing.
Anyway, sorry about my English.
Hope I've helped.
