Rachmaninoff's Recollections
on: December 19, 2013, 01:44:22 PM
Hello. I'm writing master's study about philosophical and colour of sound influence in Scriabin's music. I found this mention in Scriabin's wikipedia page that in Rachmaninoff's Recollections Sergei himself mentioned a conversation of Scriabin and Rimski-Korsakov about associations of colour and music. Maybe anyone has this book? Or pdf version? I need to get it really soon and there's no time to make an order from abroad (I can't find this book in my country....). I would need at least some pictures of pages where this conversation is. Really hope someone can help me about this! Thanks

Is wikipedia a proper source for a masters thesis?  :o

The relevant passage is quoted at length here.

I seriously doubt colleges will like it if you use wikipedia (especially a master's study!). My high school teacher almost failed me because I used wikipedia.
