Hmmm, since in the original post you didn't really specify "difficulty", but just listed some random stuff… I'll post some random stuff I found from these pieces! lol
These are both musical masterpieces!!! And are *** awesome pieces to work on (individual works or the full sets)
In terms of accessibility, these are both at the further end of the piano spectrum… the problem with comparing them is that the material in the sets is so varied…
For example… the textural writing in Le Gibet is thick as hell… Alborada del Gracioso uses a play on 3/4 - 6/8 and uses double glissandi… Ondine uses a shimmering figure to accompany a very simple melodic line… Une Barque sur l'Ocean uses a vast expanse of arpeggios, and explores huge harmonic colours… etc. etc. etc.
In a battle over how 'CRAZY' these sets are, both would drop dead from exhaustion. They are immense works, generally with Ondine/Scarbo/Alborada at the peak.
If you are ONLY looking for 'which is harder', try it yo damn self!
