How fast is too fast?
on: January 08, 2014, 10:10:33 PM
Often, I end up making pieces that just don't seem playable, by what I can tell. I was writing a piece recently, and I can't figure out if it is too fast (I'll attach the sheet in case someone knows).

What I'm struggling to find out when I'm compose is this: What is too much? What is too fast or too slow? What is too loud and what is too soft? Too high or too low? How do I gauge these things better?

Whatever is required by the music.  It may limit who can tackle it, though.

Page 8 looks plagiarised to me, by the way.  ;D

I think you're confusing page 8 and page 9. Page 8 still has glissandi on it.

Indeed I am. Apologies.
