Feedback would be welcome. And of course if you liked it. I recorded it three times until it felt good. I wanted to pop out some spirit/soul.Grade 3 piece.
Very nice! I don't happen to have the score or any great knowledge of it either, but I think you could perhaps have better unity of tempo between the two sections. You have achieved a pretty sound. Now, I think you could work on getting a deeper, more expressive tone. Strive to make the tone more 'three-dimensional' in every possible way. Dig into the keys! Small, rapid strokes can produce deep, powerful tones! Nice work! Very soulful!
That was really nice!Did you work on this with your new teacher?
Thank you outin! Yes, this is the one with my new teacher, he picked it out for me. Also, this piece was born out of the advice you gave me a few months back in regards to playing lower graded pieces. They are definitely helping with my technique and transitioning into higher graded pieces. Jumping and speeding to higher graded pieces without having the right experience doesn't seem so appealing to me now. But we'll see how that goes.
It seems like you advance well with your new teacher, does it feel that way to you? I mean advance in your playing skills, instead of the difficulty of the pieces (which I don't think is that important anyway).
