Schubert piano sonata in B flat posthumous
on: January 17, 2014, 04:38:57 PM
can anyone help me with a suggested tempo for the first movement of Schubert's B flat posthumous sonata, marked Molto Moderato? I've been trying it at met 76 but in parts it seems to drag a bit?

You mean a suggested metronome mark or musical tempo?  Ideally, you should ignore any tempo tied to a metronome and go with your intuition.  This frees your mind from any extrinsic constraints on musicianship.
