Well yeah it's adapted by Bones, they rarely disappoint! I should probably marathon it once I'm done with my midterms.

I lied, couldn't wait. Kageyama is pretty badass! Certainly a lot more entertaining than One Punch Man.

Nobody talking about Kimi no na wa?
This movie is amazing!
Story itself isnt anything special (but its really enjoyable) but movie as a whole is just... captivating
Makoto Shinkai FTW, I hope that due to its success (11BLN Yen in 1 month) there will be more anime like this ;)

Also, my list:

well yeah its shinkai, his movies are usually pretty straightforward. It's a typical melodramatic teen story but like you said, even if its cliche and cheesy Shinkai still knows how to mess with your heartstrings. Personally I enjoyed it. Liked it better than Garden and 5cm per second because the ending didn't piss me off.

Most surprisingly awesome incredible discoverfor rrecentlyis Izetta the last witch. Something about tthemix of wwii Era style conflict  and fighting mixed magic

the production quality tops. Score is excellent. Charters super likable  and story pace feels spot on. I'm 3 ep in (dub) and hooked. Highly reccomend

Ghost in the Shell?  I see that's turned into a movie now.  I remember seeing that recommended somewhere.

blue exorcist is more enjoyable than i anticipated, starts really really dark then lightens up and then it gets dark.
aniplex has a track record for great visuals and production quality, the colors almost always pop, i put them right along side gonzo and mad house

i'm really excited they released a 2nd season 6 years later, that hits in Jan '17, so people have time to go back and watch season 1 to get up to speed...
so stoked about this announcement.

I still have to finish Kara no Kyoukai movies, and I should watch the new Yamato movie (I have only seen the very first season, 1974 iirc).

Are there any anime ('movies?') that got turned into a blockbuster style movie but kept Asian actors?  Even keeping the language?

If you read the video description before watching, careful, it has spoilers.

I hope the success of this will spur similar colabs in the future.

Hard to miss the now viral shelter, its a colab between and americian and french musician (dj) and  a japanese stuido for the visuals.
Its beautiful, and nails it as a short.
In about a month the main upload alone got  7 million plus views , and its the meaning of it and the twist it gives you towards the end that is blowing everyone's mine.

Inspired a few decent piano version videos too...
Worth the watch, pay attention and you might figure it out before the "reveal".

Really enjoying
kabaneri of the iron fortress (lots of the talent from attack on titan). Pretty incredible so far. Eagerly wait for each new epi ea week.

my hero academia - great characters, original writing, action comedy, i actually get impatient each week waiting for a new episode

btw finished up fate stay night unlimited blade works. Its obe of the best i have seen on long time. It is  it a remake of original fate stay night  from few years ago. Its an original retelling of the story, different twists and points of view. Its what fate stay night should have been.

rewatching fate zero, it fills in background to unlimited blade works nicely

madoka magica was good.
MHA was one i
of the best of 2016
THE HYPE IS REAL!!!! Season 2 of My Hero Academia is coming April first!!

I quite like Jigoku Shoujo (currently watching the second season). It's episodic though, so some may not like it (I also found the other episodes weird)..

In another world with my smartphone , didn't expectin to likensure it as much as I do, the humor and twist on the familiar boy gets transported to a magic filled world  formula, it works.

yo I watched like the Deku vs Ice/fire kid and that was dope as fuuuu, but those were the only two episodes I watched lmao. I should marathon s1 and 2 since 2's like 3 episodes from being finished.

why's the isekai genre so popular now. I get why it's everywhere in manga magazines (advertising for the crappy light novels) but now they're adapting it to anime like crazy. does this mean we're going to get an anime version of this:

https://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/thumb.php?f=Mushoku_Tensei_.jpg&width=300

the best one imo

only problem is isekais are rushed and the fighting animations are pure trash. knights and magic is the perfect example lol

What do people think of Samurai Champloo? I watched the trailer a few weeks ago and thought it looked really cool but I heard some bad reviews. I loved the Cowboy Bebop movie (haven't seen the series yet) and I know Samurai Champloo had the same director. Is it worth a look at?

If you like samurais and action then you'll like it, it probably has one of the best samurai fight scenes in the entire industry. It's just golden.

Why the fu hasn't he animated Vagabond?

King's Game is interesting,  a little sadistic and overly dramatic a time times but the premise, mystery, main character's lousy luck, etc ,make for a very engaging watch [so far]

my hero is smart, no doubt, but black clover,  has a humor about it that charms,, and I love a good underdog story , I'd say it's not as great as my hero, but it's not bad, but men, we can differ on this. One, it's all good.

magical girl raising project. if you give it a chance past the cutesy facade and catch some.of the undertones of early episodes you are rewarded w a really dark plot w some unexpected gruesome violence as the true plot develops. sort of like Madoka Majica but without the psychedelic lsbyrth visuals but darker in some ways , enjoying this one. this was a surprise

I like this genre more and more ie  in company w overlord which is fun and this season 3 has one of the best opening anime themes in a. while... and several others, How not to summon a demon lord   is fun , a little campy but pretty good and keeping my interest
