Please help identify this hammerklavier recording...
on: November 19, 2004, 09:07:31 PM
Well, first mvmt clocks 11:03, the second is 20:46, third is 13:33 and the fourth is 2:51.

The recording is probably a few years old, judging by the sound quality, but I really like the performance.

Hmmm, that somehow doesn't make sense. The times should be roughly 12, 2-3, 17-20, and 12-13 minutes. Maybe, the 2 and 3. movements got lumped together, and your last 2:51 is applause  :o That would be a great performance indeed!

That was humiliating :-\

Iīve just discovered the shuffle function of my iPod, not a big success with Piano Sonatas...

Anyway, trying again:

First: 11:03.
Second: 2:51.
Third: 20:46.
Fourth: 13:33.

it's for sure not kempff, because he didn't play the repetition in the first movement and finishes in 8 minutes :o

I found out, itīs Gould.
I should have known... I heard the singing, but I only know Goulds Bach.

20:46 for the slow movement?  That's got to be one of the slowest on record.
