Which piece is better to play tomorrow?
on: February 13, 2014, 09:36:55 PM
So I want to play a piano piece for someone for Valentine's Day tomorrow, and I'm stuck between Liszt's Liebestraume #3 and Chopin's Nocturne op 48 #1. I haven't done the Liszt in a year, but I practiced it this week, and I at least still memorize it and can play it fairly accurately. The Chopin I have been practicing for a while now, so it is more well-prepared. The person I'm playing for plays a little bit of cello, but is more of a non-musician in terms of finding mistakes. Thoughts?

The Chopin is the better piece but the Liebestraume may be better for Valentine's day. ;)

Okay, thanks! I'm going with Liebestraume then.
