Anyone heard this "The Nightengale" little diddy arranged by Liszt? Where could one fine the music? I think its a terrific encore for a Liszt recital.

Hi Rob my friend,
Yes it is a very good piece and I have a very good recording by France Clidat.
I have the music at home which is published by "Shunjusha" - a Japanese company.
The book contains, besides the Alabiev, other composers' paraphrases by Liszt, such as Soiree Musicale of Rossini, Serenade/Ave Maria/Soiree de Vienne(yes, the one beautifully recorded by Horowitz) of Schubert, Prelude & Fugue of J.S.Bach etc...
https://www.shunjusha.co.jp/book/91/91040.html
Hope this information helps...not? Sorry, I don't think so really, unless you are familiar with Japanese language...but they don't have Englisg site yet...please find Japanese people around you, they are most everywhere in the world, right??
