Oh yeah,You're all going to really really be impressed with my teaching techniques now... I scanned a copy of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer from a Christmas book I got because the selection was great for sing-a-longs. The book is one of the those tacky books with huge notes and letter names of notes inside them. Well don't ya know my seven year old student who has struggled with reading music got a look at this music and a huge light turned on for her and she in her own words "practiced too much" this week, couldn't wait for her lesson and sight read Jingle Bell Rock on the spot. Go figure. Anyone else work with music this way? What's interesting is that this kid has a real feel for piano. I believe she's going to kick butt some day.
Thanks Daniel,That's a big help. Funny how something is staring you in the face and you can't see it. I operate so much from the right brain myself that I couldn't see the forest for the trees. Of course you're right. I'd be happy to send you copies of this music.
It's a jpeg file and I can't figure out how to put that kind of attachment in here. Am I once again missing something obvious?
