Scriabin - Prelude Op 15-2
on: April 16, 2014, 03:56:02 AM
Hello!

I´m learning this wonderful prelude.
It is very short, but very passionate and quick.
You need great speed with your right hand, and a huge reach with your left hand.

What do you think about the piece?
Have you played it?

Thanks,

The masterpiece tell the performer what to do, and not the performer telling the piece what it should be like, or the cocomposer what he ought to have composed.

For the left hand you need to use the motion of your arm, rather like FI or the RH of Chopin 10/1, not so much finger reach.

You might find this collection interesting:

1. Alexander Goldenweiser 00:00
2. Elena Beckman-Shcherbina 1:02
3. Vladimir Horowitz 2:00
4. Clara Haskil 2:45
5. Stanislav Neuhaus 3:40

It's a lovely piece, so have fun!!  :D
