[I think this has to do with how many Asian people you see on a daily basis-My mom and cousin both took it (I made them.) My cousin sees lots of Asian people at school and my mom sees lots of Asian people at work (she's a computer-techish-person, go figure). They both scored better than me, a student at a completely homogenously-white school.]

There are boat loads after boat loads of Chinese and Plane loads of Japanese in Australia!  Especially Bondi beach, dreamworld etc, gold coast etc

I got 9 out of 18....still higher than the average....but this was just a lucky guess...I guess.....I cannot tell for sure who's who although I have very frequent contacts with asians on a daily-basis.

Seems a dumb, pointless exercise as these people all come from the same stock.  Some of the comments are also offensive.  What about trying to distinguish between
Americans, British, Canadians, Australians and New Zealanders?
If we had x-ray eyes and could see the size of the brain it would be easier!!

We know it's stupid but it's kind of fun trying to tell just from pictures.  And yes, these asians are from pretty much the same stock but with very slight genetic differences regarding apearance.

Even using Chinese is very inaccurate as Chinese is a very general term for people who live in the country even though it incorporates literally thousands of different cultures within the borders.  But those whom we associate as being "Chinese" are usually from the East coast of China where immigration is much easier to other countries.  Hong Kong/Canton is one place.  Shanghai is another.  And northern Chinese and Southern Chinese people are different in apearances but these are usually the people we can call "Chinese".

Is the test still stupid?  Yes, but it is a bit amusing, nonetheless.

I got three.  I feel bad. 

I went to a great music school and knew many people from all three countries.  I based my choices based on whether the faces looked like people that I knew from those countries.  How could I have been so wrong?

Although, what if they had a face thing to tell apart Americans, British, and French for example?  It would be nearly impossible!  Unless they were smiling, in which case bad teeth would indicate British people.  Or unless you could smell them, in which case body odor would indicate French people.  Or unless you could weigh them--the fat ones would be Americans.
