Fun, Short piece to stick on a recital
on: May 05, 2014, 05:49:27 PM
My teacher is having a student recital in a few weeks and said i can do 2 pieces. One of them is chosen for me because its what we have worked on a lot and what i played in a competition like thing. Not sure how to describe it...

I really dont care what you suggest I just dont want anything more than about 3 minutes in total length. Any composer, any era. Well I would like it to be public domain or easily found to print out. Any difficulty. If i like it and it looks doable in 2 weeks then I will learn it.
Just here to lurk and cringe at my old posts now.

HAHA I may learn that one now just incase the Alkan doesnt work out! The nokia waltz looks pretty easy. I may leave off the very last bit though...

that last bit is crucial, i have the original score, it indicates that it imitates the dialing of the numbers on the old keypads with touch tone. i think it's the most creative part of the piece.

i don't think i can attach a score to pm. pm me an email, i'll respond to it with the email i will send it to you from. i am not certain my copy is a scan/e-copy, but i suspect it is (or i may have both but only read off the hardcopy last time i read through it, eitherway i should be able to get it you). ;)

Macdowell Hexentanz.  Such a cool little piece!  It is pretty tough in a few spots though...
