Help for finding a contemporory piece
on: June 19, 2014, 10:50:57 PM
The object is to find a contempory piece which has plenty of silence and whose rythme is quite free.
I was about to play arc en ciel of Ligeti ,but my colleague is gonna play it too. So I'd better change another one...
Beethoven 4th concerto
Beethoven op.111
Ravel Une barque sur l'océan
Franck Prelude chorale et Fugue
Scriabin sonata 4

Try In Futurum, from Funf Pittoresken by Erwin Schulhof.  Plenty of silence and rhythmic freedom.

Edit: Score attached.

Heh, I knew the name of that piece sounded familiar.
