Debussy etude....chromatic
on: July 16, 2014, 10:44:59 AM
I have started working on this chromatic etude of Debussy. Are there any tutorials or suggestions from my fellow pianists on some sections for fingering. Thanks for all your help!

Yikes! Good luck!  I had to choose three Etudes for a jury a few years ago, and I considered this one. I managed to get the notes down with fingering at about 80% speed then switched to Arpèges Composés because I was having a rough time speeding up the chromatic with the time constraint.

Do you have any spots in particular? One big issue in the piece is allocating the hands so they don't collapse into each other.  I'll grab my score and poke through the piece; let me know specific measures if you have any.
