How to avoid that "scratchy" sound in the background of recordings

So, to give you an idea of what I mean, this is the video I recorded for my youtube channel.
There's a constant scratchy sound in the background, though it was worse on my camera than it actually is on youtube.
But is there a way to stop that? Or do I just need better acoustics/mics in my piano room.

It's just noise from the recording equipment. Solution -- Get a better set up. Maybe it's the microphone, cables, recording device, etc. Or all of that. Or something in the editing process adding in noise too I suppose. The lowest quality/most noise part of the recording set up will enter the most noise, and then it doesn't matter how good the rest of the system is. Weakest link sets the overall quality idea.
Boosting the recording signal as much as possible from the beginning can help. As long as it's not peaking you want to record as much of the actual sound you want during the actual recording. There will always be some noise, but that will give you the strongest signal to work with vs. the noise present. That way when you boost/amplify everything (signal and noise) later, you don't boost it as much, ie don't boost the volume on the noise present as much.
There are some other posts about recording on here. Quantum knows more. It sounds like the way to go is record video and audio separately. Then edit them back together with software. Looks like your camera's good enough for image, although I'm not an expert. There are little handheld recorders for about $300, but they do produce that amount of noise too when you boost the signal.
