Scriabin Prelude Op.11 No. 21

Anyone have any idea about the pedaling in this prelude?  I've tried it with every variation from no pedal to complete "Pedaldampf."  Not quite sure what to do.  On the one hand there is the clarity of no/little/half pedal, on the other hand there are elements of his "mystic chord" here, so should we be dissolving into a mass of overtones?

what sounds better to you? what approach allows you to bring out the music you see and feel/hear in the score? go with that.

this is early-ish Alex. the harmonies should for the most part be pretty distinct with a late romantic flair. I would shy away from letting it be a garbled mess. when i doubt listen to Sofronitsky.

Sofronitsky really is the gold standard for Scriabin.  Maybe being Scriabin's son-in-law had something to do with it. ;)
