So today's Equinox...
on: September 23, 2014, 01:11:29 AM
Kinda cool, no?  Anyone got plans?

Tis'a good date for some dark magic and tributes to the elder gods, I am thinking of sacrificing some cattle to enhance my piano playing.

Afterwards I'll listen to a select playlist while I reflex on the nature of existence, the cosmos and other important questions, like... if a man speaks in the woods and there is no woman nearby, is he still wrong?

TBD:

The Planets by Gustave Holst

Night Ride and Sunrise by Jean Sibelius

Symphony No. 3 “Planet Earth” by Johan De Meij

Concerto for Percussion and Ensemble by James Wood

For me though the 25th and 26th have the most equal light.  And then the dark times approach...

Oct 8, 2014 Total Lunar Eclipse
Which also means it's going to be cloudy out that day/night when it happens.

It always seems like some 'one of a kind, never to be seen in your lifetime again' celestial event is going to happen soon.

There are two equinoxes a year, and a total lunar eclipse about every 14 months (81 last century, 85 this). Your "lifetime" seems somewhat abridged.  ::)

I could go out and howl with the coyotes as it arrives somewhere around 10:30 PM.  They seem to like singing at certain times of the night.
