Stop buying CD's...... not on your life !!
What's wrong with both going to concerts AND buying CD's ?
Recorded music never has, and probably never will, take the place of live concerts.
If I remember correctly, John Philip Sousa was afraid that this would occur, which is the reason he never set foot inside a recording studio. We are fortunate to live in a time when we have the medium of recordings to listen to. Prior to 1900, the only way to even hear a symphony or concerto was to attend a concert.

no! i'm not stopping buying cd's! reasons being- 1. i simply cannot afford to go to all the music concerts that involve music i want to hear, thus cd's are a cheaper substitute that i can listen to whenever i want 2. music concerts don't even play half the pieces i want to hear, so if we stopped buying cds just think of all the music that we may never get to hear.
but sure music concerts are super duper bril and i love going to them, but then i can't enjoy classical music 24/7 if i didn't have cds, and just think of all the people who'd miss out on classical music if you could only hear it at concerts cos they're too poor to afford tickets? that's why cds were invented in the first place. if we stopped the production of cds then classical music will probably die out a hell of a lot faster
