SIKE!!!  My hatred for him is stronger than ever!!!  Curse mendelelelelssohssooshsn for bringing him back!!!

But actually though the enharmonic prelude and fugue from book 1 is pretty flame.
Live large, die large.  Leave a giant coffin.

Felix gets rather more credit then is his due in this regard.

Good to see you're weakening. Though it has always seemed your hatred extends only to those of his pieces you haven't played up to speed.

I don't think Mendelssohn was ever "tight". He'd have been a much better composer had he been so occasionally.

I agree. Which is why the f minor quartet is one of my favorite works by his. You can hear the anguish.
