Eliminating psoriasis and associated symptoms
on: January 30, 2015, 06:01:49 AM
Psoriasis treatment has been under research for so many years and modern medicine does not confirm a permanent cure for the disease but treats the disease by suppressing the symptoms. However, Ayurveda is a step ahead in this fact and depending upon the stage and type of the disease there is a treatment protocol. Various natural remedies soothe the irritation caused by the scaly and dry flaky skin which includes application of avocado oil, cod liver oil, and linseed oil. It is always considered best to remain as natural as possible by using simple and natural products and to stay away from harsh chemicals and chemical additives. As per researchers of the modern medicine psoriasis is an auto immune disorder and is commonly seen as reddish, scaly patches of skin on multiple parts of the body. According to Ayurveda, the impurities in the blood are associated with psoriasis and purification of the blood is performed as a prelude to other treatment procedures. After this process the patient is given specially formulated concoctions called ‘lehyams’ or ‘Kashayas’ for the faster recovery process. The patient must take extra care to avoid further secondary infections form setting in and aggravating the condition as the open wounds from itching and extreme drying of the skin can lead to such conditions. Moisturizing creams that are natural are effective in keeping the skin moisturized. Natural and soft diet plays a role in managing psoriasis and eliminating meat and meat products is good for the patient.

Not convinced rubbing SPAM on it is much of a cure.  ::)
