HELP! Difficulties in playing TURNS ornaments
on: February 24, 2015, 05:59:01 AM
Hello I'm currently working on Mozarts Sonata in D k311 and having real difficulties playing ornaments especially turns  :-X.. I'm really hoping  for an answer as my ATCL diploma exam is just round the corner ..

I understand that it must be played with a light touch but despite that I'm still not able to play it cleanly and with perfect evenness ..
besides than playing slowly then speed it up, anybody  has other good  tips or techniques regarding this matter  ?
I get really discouraged whenever I heard myself playing it in recording and really hope I can find a perfect solution for this ..  :(
  thanks in advance !!

Play it with a raised wrist, with your weight floating up, so to speak. Playing it with a light touch is also important, but this helps with that.
