Hi all! I've been reading these forums for a while, and finally created an account to post a question...

I've just finished listening to the Schiff series of Beethoven sonata lectures, which I enjoyed immensely. It reminded me how much I enjoyed the commentary/analysis side of music back from studying the subject at A level. It has without doubt enriched my enjoyment of the sonatas (and my imperfect attempts at playing some of them).

So can anyone recommend any good resources along similar lines for other works/composers? Lectures/podcasts that combine spoken analysis/commentary with the music being examined.

I'd be very grateful for any suggestions.

Thanks for this; I enjoyed the clip and will seek out the full lectures. I'm a big Bernstein fan — love Chichester Psalms and WSS, and recordings I have of him conducting too. So your suggestion is very much on the money!
