Skype lessons (help for teacher and student)
on: March 20, 2015, 06:44:44 PM
Hi again everyone

OK then so my teacher has asked if I could be her 'guinea pig' as she wants to start giving people skype lessons and wants to trial them on me.

Now I've only had 2 lessons with her so far (one 1/2 hour and a full hour) I was just wondering what the usual procedure is for video lessons, we only had a quick 20 minutes to go through, I showed her how I'm getting on with my scales and ran through Moonlight Sonata a few times and she gave me a few tips.

Do you think it is beneficial to do these sessions with people who have been playing a little longer and who have a few more lessons under their belts or are they equally as good for novices?

She asked me how I think it went at the end of the lesson and I felt as though it helped in a more motivational way rather than a technical way, I also felt like if I was a little better and had a few more things that I had been practicing on then we could have had a more thorough lesson if that makes sense?

what are others opinions on Skype lessons in general?
