Grade 5 standard piece suggestions!
on: March 29, 2015, 02:48:37 PM
Hi there,

I'm an Advanced Higher Music Student and am needing exam pieces for my performing exam. The pieces need to at least grade 5 standard. I have done my grade 7 although that was a long time ago! I've got a whole month and plenty of study leave to learn them. Any suggestions would be great. I do have pieces that I can do but I'm absolutely bored sick of them. Thanks for any help.

There's 1307 entries at grade 5 in the database at www.pianosyllabus.com.  You can specify some favourite composers, or favourite keys, to narrow that down a bit.

IMSLP also has huge lists of pieces.
May I suggest...
Schubert Impromptu op 90/2
Chopin Nocturne op 32/1 or 32/2
Mozart Fantasie in D minor
