Grade 7 competition repertoire?
on: April 25, 2015, 09:15:32 AM
Hey guys i'm 15 and my piano playing is around grade 6-7. To enter the competition I must pick:

- Bach 2 part or 3 part invention (I have learned 2 part no.9 and no.7,haven't yet learned a 3 part one)
- Sonata 1st movement from Beethoven or Mozart ( I have played  a Haydn one in A and the easiest Mozart one in C)
- A third composition by my choice ( This year i played Golliwogg cakewalk ,seemed too easy)

The competition is in December so I have some time to learn these pieces. I am thinking about 3 part invention in Bm, Beethoven op 49 sonata and Waltz in Ab by Chopin. What do you think? Should i aim higher?
