The best excercise book for chord progression, different ways to play chords
on: April 27, 2015, 02:28:06 PM
Hello everyone,
Since my teacher passed away last Feb because of cancer, I started my research again about "playing by ears" as that is what I always wanted to learn. However it's hard to find a teacher who could teach that. I learned so much with my teacher however it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I found the anykeymusicsystem website. Before this I had bought counteless books/programs claiming they could teach me how to play piano by ears, they did not work. However the anykeymusicsystem is great, i could play simple songs by ears. However when it comes to a little bit more complicated songs, i'm stuck. I could figure out the melody and chords, however to play both hands that makes the song sound good, i'm nowhere near that yet. I believe this is due to the fact that I haven't had enough excercise about chords progressions, how to play chords in different styles ...
Which book do you recommend for those exercises? If you have learn how to play piano by ears, do you have any suggestion for me?
Thank you.
