little prelude bach bwv 926

Hi guys, i just made my first recording of the little prelude, There is still *much* room for improvement...

Would love to hear your comments about it so I can work on it!

It is not that bad at all. But you really need to work on your ornaments, they sound strained and inconsistent, if they sound at all. And on better phrasing and a more detached touch. Bach played
so legato can get a bit soggy. The dramatic tempo changes are actually quite effective here.
I think it has promise.

Yes those are awful, when i play the piece at speed I am unable to get consistent, nice, pearly ornaments, let's hope those Hanon exercises which I've started last week will aid me in playing them properly!

Anyway, I am not done with this piece and will keep at it

Sticking with any Bach piece, however small, will always pay off. Trills are often a pregnant dog though.
I find it helps if you consciously take your time for them. Better to have a trilled note last slightly longer but with a clean trill, than botch the trill trying to keep in strict tempo.

My teacher had a listen too yesterday


"Too fast and uneven" but not too bad considering I only started little more than a year ago
