I always love looking at some of the more ridiculous examples of sheet music out there. Be it difficult or just interesting. Feel free to share any good examples!

From James Tenney's "Spectral Canon".

How did I know you'd come here to say that? :P

I've never actually taken the time to listen to it, but after all the attention both you and most other users on this forum give it, I'm tempted to see what all the fuss is about. Do you dislike it just because it's so unjustifiably popular? I've never been much of a fan of Schumann myself but I doubt it could be THAT bad.

I really like some of Schumann's piano cycles, they're great stuff. But I've never understood how his concerto came to be so popular. It just doesn't deserve the attention. It's boring.

The Medtner concerti need more attention....

And lol@Beethoven's handwriting. That guy just didn't give a ***.

Hi mjames,

Schumann's piano concerto is a great work.  Just listen to this live performance by Alfred Cortot:

The Sch
umann concerto is a pile of boring crap.

People who rate it are entitled to, but one would have to question the extent of their concerto listening habits.

Ferneyhough's 'La Terra est un Homme'

Finnissy's 'English Country Tunes'. I'm getting a shirt with this on it soon. ;D

Some piece by Bussotti.

Martino's 'Pianississimo'.

Flynn's 'Trinity'

Globokar's 'NOTES for a Pianist' (I think?).
